The pairing reaches beyond femininity and beauty. Butterflies embody transformation, fragility, and the fleeting nature of beauty—a fitting parallel to Marilyn, whose extraordinary radiance became immortal despite her tragically brief life.
Through the fusion of WPAP and anamorphic art, Joseph Nazari plays with this contradiction. Marilyn remains permanent in our cultural memory, yet within the artwork she exists only from one particular perspective. Move away, and she vanishes back into butterflies.
